Located outside of Manhattan, KS, there is a little spot where the rock meets creek.
At low tide, the natural stone is traversable by car, and you can wade around, climb into a small waterfall, and swing into a swimming hole. All this formed by the natural stone.
Our first trip, we headed out to attempt a Geocache turned out it was only reachable by water.
Took the Spotty Dog on the next outing.
He's all about swimming and hiking. We came in appropriate water attire this time, and hit the rope swing right away.

had planned to also look for a Geocache mapped in the area. The Cache
ended up being impossible to reach without traversing river water, or
private property.
Stan got plenty of off-leash time, and swimming.
Come to find out, society is still being urged to stay out of Kansas waters, which are stiLL affected by the blue algae outbreak. So we will keep an eye on the boy.
There were tons of tadpoles this trip. Must be the season. They were the first thing I noticed when stepping out onto the crossing. They were out in swarms.
This woman was collecting them, for... whatever reason.
All I caught were bloaty dead ones.
Riveting.
Eek! Stagnant-ish water makes me think of brain amoebas... they have claimed a few people this way. Ick. Be safe!
